Technological Innovation: Operation & Management

I served as a consultant at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), an international financial organization. The project's objectives were to improve the capacity of 13 Cambodian cities to operate the new sewerage, solid waste, and drainage assets being procured under the ADB projects. The project collaborates with the Cambodian government, such as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and the Ministry of Economic and Finance (MEF).


Hyundai ZER01NE Fund #2

I conducted the risk evaluation for the Hyundai Motor Group’s ZER01NE Fund #2, which invests in startups with innovative technologies and creative ideas. The Hyundai group’s ZER01NE Fund #2 is worth KRW74.5 billion (USD63 million).


Secondary PEF: Toshiba Memory Corporation M&A

In June 2018, I completed a secondary underwriting deal to Toshiba's flash memory division's mega USD18 billion sales to a multinational consortium led by US private equity firm Bain Capital.
⨳ My team in Hyundai PE became responsible for reselling Bain's share in the non-convertible preferred stock offering. In addition, it has formed a fund on the scale of KRW560 billion (USD501 million) to acquire the shares along with several Korean institutional players.


PEF: JW Bioscience

Risk evaluation conducted on establishing a private equity fund to purchase KRW50 billion (USD41.8 million) worth of convertible preferred stocks issued by JW Bioscience, an affiliate of JW Group that supplies medical devices.


PEF: e-scooter sharing

Investment risk evaluation conducted on Micro-mobility startup Olulo, operator of e-scooter sharing service Kickgoing.

7th World Water Forum

- The 7th World Water Forum brought together over 40,000 visitors from 168 countries, comprised 9 heads of State, 80 government ministers, and 100 official national governments delegations. Entitled ‘Water for our Future, participants heralded the 7th edition of the world’s largest event on water issues as the most politically impactful ever.
